Palazzo Castiglioni is a 12th century palace in the heart of Mantua (Mantova), a hidden gem that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. The palace offers wonderful, unique accommodations that combine ancient grandeur with modern luxury. Palazzo Castiglioni is the oldest palace in town and is located just across from the legendary Palazzo Ducale. Guests enter the palace through the  massive wooden doors and pass along an elegant courtyard  where they can park their car, although it is possible to stay at the palazzo without a car.

Mantua is just south of Verona and the Veneto region, less than 30 minutes from Verona airport. Besides its artistic and historical treasures, Mantua excels for its food tradition and wide range of choice in activities from boat excursions on the lakes surrounding the town to the bicycle tracks connecting the town to Lake Garda. This is a region rich in both culture and nature, conveniently located close to Bologna, Venice and Milan. There are many possibilities for excursions, including visits to Verona, Sabbioneta and Lake Garda (40 minutes), or Cremona, the town of the violin makers (1 hour). Personalized excursions and guided tours of the area can be organized on request.

LA TORRE: Sleeps 2; 55 sqm/600 sq ft)
Careful renovation has restored the tower to its original splendour. The four-story tower (with a lift) is crowned by a terrace offering 360 degree views of the town and its monuments. La Torre consists of a magnificent room with antique furnishings, impressive 12th-century frescoed walls and a large canopied bed draped with beautiful fabrics and silks. The suite also comes equipped with modern conveniences such as satellite TV, tea/coffee maker, microwave, WIFI internet  connection and telephone. A modern bathroom with large shower is situated 10 steps down from the main room. Stairs from the suite lead to the terrace with offers spectacular 360 degree views of the town and its monuments. Since the bathroom is 10 steps down, La Torre is not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties.

PIANO NOBILE: available in 2012 only for weddings, and other celebrations. This 500 sqm/5,400 sq ft apartment is decorated with frescoes and is the personal residence of the family. It is available for events only. However, starting in May, 2013, the entire apartment will be available for rent with three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 living rooms, dining room, kitchen.

PIANO NOBILE for 2012 available for events/anniversaries/weddings price on request. Starting from 2013 The Piano Nobile (500 sqm) will be available for rent ( 3 AC double bedrooms each with bathroom, kitchen, 2 living rooms, internet, lift, daily housekeeping ) special weekly price 4200 Euro per week
