Overlooking Lake Maggiore and the Castle of Angera, this lovely renovated apartment is just outside Lesa and within 4km's of Stresa and Arona.

It is located in a private  residential complex 3 km uphill from Lesa (on the south-west bank of Lake Maggiore)

Surrounding the property is large garden with two pools shared with the other units.

This apartment features breathtaking views of the lake and of the mountains, a peaceful position, and car parking.

Rénée sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with shower and the other with a tub), and a large open plan living area with a dining table and kitchen.

The interior is elegant and sophisticated, the kitchen is fully appointed with a refrigerator, freezer,  dishwasher, electric oven, and stove.

There is a Panoramic 80 sqm terrace offering breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains. The building offers lift facilities therefore it is suitable for people with walking difficulties. The bedrooms and living room have french doors opening towards the large panoramic terrace

 ABOUT THE COMPLEX

The complex develops on 25.000 sqm. In this area there are two large buildings each with approximately (total) 54 Units plus a separate smaller house where there are 6 units: Renèe  belongs to the smaller house therefore offers a favourable and more private setting. There are two heated pools to share among the units, one (10x10 meters) is for children and the other one (20x10 meters for adults). The garden is large, and very well kept with mature trees and bushes. The pools opening dates are from the first week of June to the first week of September.

 LOCATION Rénée is 6 km from Arona (southward) and Stresa (northward). The small town of Lesa is 3 km downhill (which is about a 5 min drive). There you can find restaurants, a post office, alimentary shops, and a chemist. In Lesa there are a couple of beaches and a sports centre with a swimming pool, tennis court and other sports equipment.

 ACTIVITIES Midway between Stresa and Arona this location offers a variety of sights and activities. You can visit the Borromean Islands named for the family that has owned them since the 12th century. Isola Bella, the largest with  magnificent gardens and the Palazzo Borromeo, Isola Madre with exotic birds and Isola dei Pescatori an ancient fishing village with narrow streets and wonderful restaurants. You can explore mountains, lakeshore villages, markets, and spas. Across  the border into nearby Switzerland there is excellent hiking in the Valle Grande, excellent golfing with two courses within 10-15 minutes, and seven more less than an hour away.  From Arona and Stresa the train to Milan takes about an hour.

Activities

In the nearby there is plenty to see and do. You also won't want to miss a tour of the Borromean islands. Isola Bella, the largest, is almost entirely occupied by a villa built by Carlo III Borromeo in honor of his wife Isabella. The rest of the island is sheer fantasy.

Isola dei Pescatori harbor’s an ancient fishing village with tiny narrow streets and some good eating. Finally, there is Isola Madre with another Borromean palace and noteworthy botanical gardens. There is plenty of exploring for you the mountains, the tiny lakeshore villages, the markets, the spas or nearby Switzerland.

 Distances

Stresa is 4 km north while Arona is 4 km south - Milan is about 1 hour by train and the Malpensa international airport is not much more than a 40 minute drive.

Lesa is 2500 meters downhill where you can find grocery shops and restaurants

In Lesa there is a sports club with 3 tennis courts and Olympic pool, and the beach is 2 km from the villa. There are also 2 golf courses within 10-15 min by car, and 7 more within 45 mins.

Ferries in Stresa 4 km - Railroad station in Lesa - Please note the local train passes 250 meters downhill from the property.
