Villa Malakoff is a splendid property situated in one of Europe’s most picturesque areas, Lake Como and is actually situated within the Villa d’Este park.  Villa Malakoff is divinely located almost equidistant between Lugano and Milan, while its pleasant countryside drive leads you to many lakeside towns.
Description
Originally built in 1860, the Villa Malakoff is located approximately 100 meters from both the Cardinal Building and the lakeshore on the grounds of Villa d’Este, a former 16th Century princely residence surrounded by a 25-acre park.
Its beautifully renovated and refined easy light orange and yellow hues blend in colourfully with its surroundings.
The lower part of the park in which Villa Malakoff is situated is from the Renaissance period. The two most outstanding landmarks are its 500-year-old plane tree, and the 16th century Mosaic with its Nymphean.  Apart from the topiary hedges and the bushes of bamboo, azaleas, camellias, oleanders, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, there are also roses and jasmine bushes. The trees range from chestnut, magnolia, wisteria, palm, cypress, pine, ilex, privet, to many others.
Its 300 square meters (2,700 square feet) are wonderfully renovated and equally distributed between three floors.  The master entrance leads into a bright living room, with its orange, yellow, and red colours, filled with couches, lamps, and many pieces of décor placed throughout.
The living room has a satellite TV and exits onto a private, picturesque terrace immersed in greenery and overlooking parts of the lake. The external terrace features a large seating area and a table and chairs for outdoor snacking and drinks.
The elegantly simple dining room with oval dining table also leads out towards the external areas of the property while the well-equipped kitchen features a double oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, American coffee pots, and 5-range stove top.  There is also a fully equipped laundry room.
The four double bedrooms all boast en-suite dressing rooms and marble bathrooms.  Two of the bedrooms enjoy a private terrace with lake views.  The property enjoys an elevator going between floors, wonderful décor, and state of the art air conditioning.
A private driveway leads directly to the main entrance of the property.
