Casa Gaia is located on the top of a hill and thanks for this great position, benefits of a wonderful view over rolling hills of this part of Chianti.

Ideal for a vacation surrounded by nature. It's isolated position offers the possibility of a relaxing stay, afternoons spent in the solitude of the pool, lined with olive trees, or taking advantage of the private tennis court.

Casa Gaia is reached by a winding unpaved road (3.5 Km from the SS 222) which leads up through the woods to the house. A remote controlled gate limits the property.

Please note that the house is accessed by a track of approx. 500m and is not suitable for low slung cars. A car is necessary to reach the property.

The property is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards owned by the family, therefore it is absolutely private and quiet! A pleasant garden with olive and fruit trees and well-manicured lawns surrounds this typical Tuscan farmhouse.

On the back of the house there is a delightful loggia, which provides welcome shade and a lovely area for al fresco dining in summer!! Garden furniture and an outdoor parking space is available.

In the picturesque town of Greve in Chianti - 6 km away - you can find bars, bank, post office supermarket, delicious restaurants, pharmacy and a colourful open-air market on Saturday morning.

Other points of interest 40km Siena, 45km San Gimignano, 50km Florence airport, 140km Pisa airport.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

Due to its position, Casa Gaia is built on several levels.

On the ground floor there is a large living room with original Tuscan terracotta tiled floors and oak-beamed with open fireplace in Tuscan stone. There are splendid views down to the valley; arch through to second living area; Six steps lead down to charming kitchen with pale blue beams, open fireplace, seating for 8 people equipped with dishwasher, gas range, fridge and freezer and oven. All these three rooms have direct access to the garden.

Four steps lead to the mezzanine floor. On this floor there is the beautiful dining room with an oak table seating 10/12 people and the master bedroom (Queen) with en-suite bathroom having double sink and bathtub.

The dining room has direct access to the loggia.

A short stair case (6 steps) of Pietra serena stone leads to the first floor where another 3 bedrooms are located. On this floor there is one double bedroom (Queen) with en-suite shower room; a further double bedroom (Queen); charming single bedroom (perfect for a child) with additional roll-away bed and further bathroom with shower; beautiful, panoramic views from all bedroom windows.

Private swimming pool (6 x 12 meters & 2.5 meters deep, with diving board), all-weather tennis court (flood-lit for the evenings), billiard room in a separate gazebo in the garden, covered loggia with panoramic views offering a third living room leading to jasmine covered pergola for al fresco dining with table for 8 people. Dishwasher, washing machine, telephone, central heating, TV. Crib and high chairs available on request. Screens on bedroom windows.
