An enchanting cypress road leads to Casa Marta; an old farm house (1866) standing on top of a gentle green hill surrounded by fields of wheat and sunflowers belonging to the large family estate. This special location is a classical portrait of Tuscany. Its large outdoor space with a lush garden and pool is lovely. The proximity to Pisa, Florence and the coast is ideal. It has comfortable interiors (up to 12 people in the main house and 3 in a lovely dependence), make Casa Marta the best location for big family reunions, offering the chance of cultural daytrips for the adults and entertainment for the kids.

It has a pool and a large garden. It sleeps up to 12 in 6 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There is also a lovely dependence with 2 other bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

THE TWO UNITS CAN BE RENTED BY DIFFERENT GROUPS

It has a large garden full of flowers and old lemon trees and a large pool (10x5 meters) with patio and long chairs. During spring time the main house is covered by white roses, begonia and jasmine. In front of the house there is a marble table for 15 people, perfect for al fresco dining. In the garden there is also a real pizza oven and a BBQ.

 There are also 3 cats that live in the garden of the house.

Casa Marta consists of a main house and a dependence.

Main House – 450 sq meters

The main house has been carefully restored and tastefully furnished by the owner. A young Italian architect who has mixed a country style, with a taste for minimal design, resulting in a unique and very particular outcome. For this reason we advice you take a careful look at the photos. The design of this villa meets a particular taste.

Ground floor Large living room with a traditional fireplace.

Next to this room there is a studio with fireplace and telephone.

On this floor there is also a large dining room with a table for 15 people and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a professional gas-cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, toaster, kettle and an American coffee machine.

One bathroom with shower. This bathroom is also used as changing room for the pool.

First floor (15 steps) On this floor there are 6 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Dependence 150 sq meters

In the past this lovely little house used to be the granary of the main farm. The owner has totally restored it last year, paying attention to many details, keeping at the same time the authentic and simple atmosphere of the house.

It is surrounded by its own garden with table and chairs; perfect to sit at with a glass of wine watching the sunset.

All the windows are painted in cobalt – blue, walls are in pail yellow and there are authentic hand made cotto Toscano tiles on the floor.

It has a large open plan kitchen with a fireplace and sitting area. The kitchen is provided with a small fridge, dishwasher, 2 electric ranges, small oven, kettle and radio.

On this level there is also one cozy single bedroom with access to the garden and a bathroom with a shower. On the second floor (14 steps) there is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (no door) with an antique cast iron bathtub and marble basin.

THE AREA AND DISTANCES

This charming house is 31 km away from the city of Pisa, worldwide renown for the famous leaning tower and 80 Km from Florence. Lucca is 64 Km away.

From Casa Marta it is easily possible to reach Livorno, the most important city on the sea in Tuscany. In fact it is only 22 km away. From Livorno it is possible to drive down the cost for 10-15 km and spend the day in Quercianella or Castiglioncello, two lovely resorts with beautiful sea, shops, and delicious seafood restaurants.

Other interesting towns in this area are Volterra (55 Km), Montescudaio, and Guardistallo (30 km).

 Siena is 99 kms away driving along the famous road Volterrana SS68 which is a beautiful road in the centre of the Tuscan country side.

The nearest village is called Lorenzana (1.6 km) where there are bars, grocery shops, a post office, restaurants and a pharmacy.

Collesalvetti is 13kms away where there is a Supermarket and a few banks.

There is a Bus stop 800 meters away from the villa which has connections to Pisa and Livorno.
