Desiderio is a beautiful estate consisting of three elegant air conditioned country homes situated within walking distance from a village and only 6 km's from the center of Florence.

An ideal base for visitors who desire the best of both city and country.

The idyllic grounds 1,5 ha (3.70 acres) surrounded by olive and fruit trees offer a stunning view over Florence.

Desiderio suites units sleep 2, 4 and 6 guests. The three units rented together sleep up to 12 persons and are perfect for a large group of family or friends to experience the splendor and comfort of Tuscan hospitality.

ABOUT THE LOCATION
Settignano is a picturesque borgo with spectacular views located on a hillside northeast of Florence.

Its name is famous in the whole world as it gave birth to the three main sculptors of the Florentine Renaissance: Desiderio da Settignano, Bernardo and Antonio Rossellino. The young Michelangelo lived there, in a farmhouse that is now the "Villa Michelangelo".

The location is ideal for guests who desire the best of both city and country. Nestled among the vineyards and olive groves this small village is at 6.7 km from the historic center of Florence that can be reached by bus in 15 minutes. The A 1 motorway is at a 10 minute drive, putting destinations like Siena, Chianti, Lucca, Pisa, Grosseto, within easy distance.

The gated property consists in 1.5 ha (3.70 acres) cultivated with olive trees and is accessed by a paved road.

Inside there are 3 separate units each with independent entrance plus the house of the owner. She is a famous interior designer, speaks fluent English and French and will be happy to help her guests during their stay in her property.

The houses lay in a classical Tuscan setting. Once used to store young lemon trees sapling during winter months and olives during fall crop, they are now converted into the most comfortable country homes where you can find a perfect balance between modern and traditional furniture.

The property is landscaped with flowers and herbs; the green garden is loved and looked after Fabrizio and provides fresh vegetables that are used in the kitchen. Each unit offers lovely outdoor spaces to relax or dine al fresco.

The very well behaved and peaceful dog of the owner lives in the property.

This is a no smoking property and no pets are accepted.

This unit for 2 people, belongs to the same building where is the owner residence.

Unit 1 outdoor space is in front of unit 2 (15 meters away)

Entrance in the Living room with fireplace that cannot be used as a BBQ, kitchenette (view towards the garden and unit 2); outside area with garden furniture.
14 steps leading down to the lower level ( the stairs is quite narrow, each step is large 75 cm and high 20 cm )
Lower Level
1 double bedroom ( bed size 180x200 ) with French doors opening onto a courtyard with view over Florence; please note that the courtyard is for the owner use, guests of unit 1 have their outside area off the living room on the upper floor.
Walk in closet.
Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Amenities include central heating, AC, satellite TV, microwave, fridge, wireless high speed Internet access, washing machine, dishwasher, outside furnishing, fireplace, mobile phone with rechargeable card.

Note: Unit 1 is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

DESIDERIO 3 CAN BE RENTED WITH EXCLUSIVITY OF THE PROPERTY IF RENTED FOR MORE THAN 3 WEEKS AND IF UNITS 1 AND 2 ARE STILL AVAILABLE.
