Villa Montepulcioano sits on a hill just ten minutes drive away from captivating Pienza. The villa overlooks the striking scenery of the Orcia Valley, which has been proclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This magnificent farmhouse was carefully restored to respect the charming original architecture of the original building and was brought up to high standards of modern comfort. The beauty of the superb panorama, which includes an incredible view of Montupluciano, can be enjoyed from three different terraces.  There is also a lovely pool and pool house. The whole property of 6 acres is fenced and the garden surrounding the villa has a computerized irrigation system from two artesian wells. This maintains olive trees, cypresses, maritime pines, selected fruit trees and many flowers.
 
The living area of the property is 4750 square feet of living space.  Guest parking is within the security gate. 
Main floor
On the main floor is a spacious fitted kitchen, with all cooking facilities, and a large slightly raised dining room, which leads to the patio and to the garden.  Going up two more steps, guests find a very large double living room, characterized by a charming and monumental fireplace that creates a welcoming atmosphere, antiques and flat-screened TV with English language channels, DVD player.
Top floors (sleeps 8)
On the mezzanine is a study with sleep sofa for two and a bathroom with shower accessed from the hall.  On the second floor there are three bedrooms (one king-bedded master with bathroom with tub and separate shower) and two twin bedded-rooms that share a bathroom with shower over tub.
Ground floor and basement (sleeps 2)
Attached to the main farmhouse, on the level of the garden on the east side, there is an  independent apartment, made up of a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom, which is an ideal solution for guests or for the farmhouse staff. On the same level there is a laundry room with a purifying water system and washer/dryer.  There is also a double garage under the farmhouse where guests can find also find a wine cellar with refrigerators and the main sub zero freezer and ice maker.
Grounds
The swimming pool (39x16 feet) provides a romantic setting with a heated double tub cascading into an infinity pool.  From here guests get the pleasant sensation of being part of a miniature Eden, a territory characterized by the clear light that dazzles and caresses the hillsides.  The panoramic patios are beautifully furnished and equipped for enjoying lounging or having meals "al fresco", sharing the sense of the peace and magical atmosphere of this unique home away from home.
