  • Casa del lago Sleeps 5 adults+1 child in 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, partially air-conditioned, WIFI, beautiful views, private mooring and beach
  • This immaculate little cottage is located right on the shore of Lake Maggiore, with its own mooring and beach. The architecture is Spanish, with a white stucco exterior, red tiled roof, and arched doorways surrounded by lush tropical plantings. A green lawn and spacious garden extends from the villa to the lake, and garden furniture is provided for enjoying al fresco dining.
  • The location is peaceful and private, yet remarkably convenient. A sports club with tennis courts and a pool is a 10-minute walk from the villa and can be used by guests for a daily or weekly fee. Two golf courses are located within 10-15 minutes’ drive, with several more less than an hour away. The ferry to the other lake towns and islands docks at Belgirate (10 min. walk). A pedestrian route behind the house offers a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and leads to the nearby town of Lesa (5 min.), where you will find grocery shops and restaurants. The ancient town of Stresa is just 10 kilometers north, and Switzerland is just half an hour away.
  • Casa del Lago is located in an exclusive gated community, far from the bustle of the road that runs along the lakeshore. The house is made up of two wings connected by a courtyard. The friendly, English-speaking owner lives in one wing and will do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay without intruding.
  • Three doors lead into the house from the garden. The furnishings are of high quality, with spacious rooms and every comfort. The living room has a fireplace, satellite TV, a billiard table and large arched French doors opening onto the garden. Next to the large eat-in kitchen is a dining room with direct access to the garden.
  • There are three bedrooms at Casa del Lago. One is a double bedroom with its own bath and independent access from the garden. This bedroom is connected to the rest of the house by passing through a single bedroom. Adjacent to that bedroom is a bathroom with an old fashioned marble tub as well as a separate stall shower. Overlooking the single bedroom from a loft is the master bedroom, which is air conditioned. On this upper level there is also a second, smaller single bedroom appropriate for a child under 10.
  • Casa del Lago is a quaint, intimate accomodation that is full of charm and is ideal for a honeymoon couple, two couples traveling together, or a family with children.

Lombardia and The Lakes

Lombardia is located at the very north of Italy and borders with Switzerland and the Alps. Home to the industrial capital city of Milan which is perhaps the biggest centre in the world for fashion with names like Armani, Prada, and Gucci all residing in Milans ‘Golden Quad’.  The local people of Milan take great pride in the way they dress and it can often seem they are all on a catwalk as they quickly march through the streets.

Milan is also the finance powerhouse of the country, and is not driven by tourism. The city itself is fast passed, and a great place to visit if you are a serious shopper.

The main attractions in Milan include Il Duomo di Milano, Leonardo Da Vincis last supper, La Scala opera house, and the Castello Sforzesco.
