Umbria, often referred to as “the green heart of Italy,” owes its nickname to its central location in the country. Nestled just south of Tuscany, Umbria’s geographical position not only places it at the crossroads of Italy but also endows it with a lush, green landscape of rolling hills, verdant valleys, and picturesque countryside.
