Discover a Unique Experience on the Enchanting Ischia Island. Aragon Castle, perched on a rocky islet linked to Ischia by a 220-meter stone bridge, offers a truly magical experience. The castle features four independent apartments elevated above the sea, connected to Ischia by a scenic causeway. Accommodating 2 to 14 guests across four distinct units, each comes with air conditioning for added comfort.
Presenting Canonica Minore, an intimate retreat designed for 2 guests. This charming unit features a living room with a double bed and a fitted kitchen discreetly nestled in a niche, along with a bathroom equipped with a shower. Additionally, guests can enjoy a panoramic balcony overlooking the stunning surroundings. This unit is now equipped with air conditioning for added comfort.

Nestled within the castle walls are churches, courtyards, antique archways, terraces, gardens, and arcades, all offering breathtaking vistas of the sea, the peninsula, the harbor of Ischia, and the expansive horizon beyond. This exceptional location is home to four holiday apartments and a small hotel.

A lift conveniently connects the Aragonese Castle entrance to the pinnacle, approximately 80 meters above sea level, where the apartments are situated. Each apartment enjoys its own independent entrance via an ancient courtyard.

Recently refurbished by the owner, the son of a renowned artist whose paintings adorn the walls, these units feature windows and outdoor spaces boasting unforgettable views. Apartment guests have access to numerous hotel services provided by the adjacent establishment, including porter and concierge services, as well as dining on the hotel terrace.

Please Note: While Canonica Minore provides a cozy haven for two, it may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. Additionally, the castle’s elevated position above the water may require supervision for children.

About the Island
The typically Mediterranean climate of Ischia is dry and warm, with temperatures sometimes reaching 35° during the months of July and August. Dominated by Mount Epomeo (789 mt.asl), the island is scattered with many other hilly features, often separated by valleys and gullies that create a suggestive and sinuous landscape and is enriched with both chestnut and oak woods and low vegetation. The island’s circumnavigation is about 39 km. The island is famous for its spa waters and hot springs.
Ischia’s spa mineral water is obtained from underground tanks which collect the rain waters. The natural rain-fall seeps into earth and collects in tanks which are warmed from hot springs lying in the depths of the ground. Water turns into steam and rises to the surface where more tanks are thus warmed, creating what is known as thermo-mineral water. The temperature of these mineral waters can go from 15C° and 86C°, therefore cold to isothermal and thermal to hyperthermal.

Last but not least: the hot springs explain the special climate on the island – they provide mild weather all year round.
