- asa Alta is a part of The Lorenzo Estate. It is set in the most desirable location in the beautiful hills in the heart of Romagna Toscana, in an untouched corner of this region off the tourist beaten track.
- It is Located at the border of the Foreste Casentinesi, a National Park extending southward into Tuscany and at 28 Km from Faenza, famous for its ceramics since the 14th century.
- On the north side of this peaceful and lush valley, you will find the tiny Tuscan village of Lutirano; on the other side, 3 km down the hill in Romagna,is Tredozio.
- It has restaurants, butchers, bakers, general stores, bars, banks and post office.
- Casa Alta is just half way between Florence (Km 85) and Bologna (80 km). Ravenna, capital of the world’s finest Byzantine mosaics outside of Istanbul, is 45 km away.
- Casa Alta, is set atop the highest ridge of Lorenzo Estate. The sun rises over the Romagna Apennines to warm the pool and the shaded breakfast loggia, and sets behind the Apennines of Tuscany that stretch out endlessly from the front of the house.
- Casa Alta, originally a shepherd’s house, has been totally restored in 2005. The owner has used the finest local materials – terracotta flooring, chestnut from their own trees, and tiles from the nearby factories of Faenza. All modern comforts are built in.
- It has a large garden with patios, lounge chairs and a panoramic swimming pool overlooking the valley. (10×5 mt, depth 1,20/1,90 mt)
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

- Casa Alta consists of two large accommodations which can be connected through and internal staircase.
- Each unit sleeps 8 and together can accommodate up to 16 people in 8 double bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.

- Entrance from the large living room with access to the garden, large fireplace, comfortable red sofas and Sat TV. Ceiling fan. DVD and Stereo with CD Player and radio.
- Overlooking the green hills of Toscana is the dining room, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The dining room has a table for 8, access to the garden, gorgeous view over the valley.
- The brand new kitchen is fully equipped with (American coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, oven, gas range, microwave, fridge and freezer)
- This floor features 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- From the living room a corridor leads to the bedrooms area.
- One double bedroom with ceiling fan and built-in closets.
- One twin/double bedroom with access to the patio, ceiling fan and built-in closets.
- Next to the bedrooms: One pink bathroom with shower & one green bathroom with bathtub (handheld shower).
- On the other side of the house there is an extra bedroom with twin/double beds and a Blue bathroom with bathtub.
- This bedroom has access to the garden but no ceiling fan.
- A wooden staircase (15 steps) leads to the first floor where you find a further double/twin bedroom with ceiling fans next to its own bathroom with shower.
- The facilities include also gas-fired water and central heating, washing machine in the laundry area.
- BBQ is available
- 8 Sun long chairs and garden furniture for 8 are available for the guests.
- The 5×10 mt. pool is set in the lawn adjoining the house and shared with the clients of the upper floor apartment in the case it is rented.

GROUND FLOOR
Entrance from the ground floor. There is a large entrance hall / dining area with a large table for 16 and a fireplace. This dining room is perfect when both the apartments are rented by the same group. In fact at the end of this room there is a door that connects from the inside the two units.On this level there is also a large laundry room with washing machine, a sink, iron and ironing board and a large, modern kitchen equipped with gas range, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, American coffee machine, kettle.
ATTENTION
This kitchen is available only when the two units are rented at the same time by the same group. Otherwise it will not be open. Guests renting both the apartments will be allowed to use ONLY the two kitchens located on the ground floor of the villa. The third kitchen on the first floor will not be available.
From the entrance hall a 20 step staircase leads to the first floor where all the bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas are located.

Emilia Romagna
The Capital city of Emilia-Romagna is Bologna. This interesting city boasts excellent food, and is the centre of the political left in Italy. Bologna is very centrally located within Italy offering easy access to both Florence and Milan. There is a large and thriving university in Bologna which creates a youthful and vibrant atmosphere.
Emiglia Romagna benefits from a long history of prosperity, and is imbued with the spirit of fine living and boasts many exceptional Renaissance palaces and a particularly rich culinary heritage (lasagna, tortellini, Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar, Parma prosciutto, sangiovese wines, Lambrusco, and bolognese are just a few of many delicious regional innovations). A number of enjoyable excursions are easily undertaken whilst visiting Emiglia Romagna. Faenza, with its world-famous ceramics museum and production house, is the splendid medieval fortress at Brisighella-focus of an annual medieval festival.

- The Lorenzo Estate is a beautiful property (988 acres) located just on the border of Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.
- On the property there are three seperate farm houses that the owners have restored as holiday homes.

- The owners have taken a lot of care to preserve the original appearance of the buildings, renewing the roofs with classic clay tiles, reshuttering with their own chestnut wood, and repairing walls with local stone.
- Inside the houses the original character has been retained, but the owners have ensured that there is every comfort and convenience for the way we live now. New floors and kitchen and bathroom walls are surfaced with tiles made in nearby Faenza, famous for its ceramics since the 14th century. Each house has a pool and is equipped for outdoor living.
- A quality they share is extraordinary views; Lorenzo Estate is some 2,000 ft high on an Appenine ridge. In the valley to the North is the tiny Tuscan village of Lutirano; on the other side, 3kms down the hill in Romagna is Tredozio which is one kilometre from start to finish. It has butchers, bakers, general stores, bars and banks.
- On summer evenings, in the ancient courtyard of the Palazzo Fantini, there are concerts ranging from jazz to chamber music organised by the province's cultural commission.
- There are public tennis courts in Tredozio, golf courses at Forlì, Riolo Terme, and Milano Marittima on the Adriatic, and trails for mountain biking, horse-riding and trekking.
- Ravenna and the Adriatic coast are 45 minutes away: Florence and the other classic Tuscan cities are within easy reach; the beautiful, bustling city of Bologna, often overlooked on the tourist trail, is just over an hour away.
- As a break from driving, we advise use of the excellent train services from Faenza. Alitalia, British Airways to Bologna; Ryanair has a twice- daily service from Stansted to Forlì, just 40 minutes drive from Tredozio.
