  • Located near the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, Casa Caterina stands on a bluff overlooking the Lutirano valley.
  • Casa Caterina is a classical country house at few kilometres (5 km) far from the village of Tredozio which is deliciously quiet, yet harbours a number of inviting restaurants-particularly the Mulino di San Michele (in an old mill).
  • A 10 minute’s drive takes one from the house to the village centre and the conveniences of grocery, bakery, bar and bus station.
  • Casa Caterina is a farmhouse conversion, on two levels, with spectacular views from every room. Swimming pool (10×5 meters, depth1,20/1,90 meters).
  • The first level consists of entrance with dining area, a large living room with fireplace and French windows with access to the garden, and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer.
  • On this floor there is also a double bedroom with bathroom with shower.
A spiral stairs leads to the second ground level. On this level there are two twin bedrooms (beds can be put together).
  • One of these bedrooms has an en suite bathroom with shower. There is also another bathroom with bath tub. Both the bedrooms have access to the garden.
  • There is also a utility room with washing machine, and an outdoor oven for baking summer supper pizzas.
Satellite Tv is provided. Cell phone is available. DVD and Stereo with CD Player and radio.

THE AREA

  • Benefiting from a long history of prosperity, Emilia-Romagna is imbued with the spirit of fine living and boasts many exceptional Renaissance palaces and a particularly rich culinary heritage (lasagna, tortellini, Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar are just a few of many delicious regional innovations).
  • A number of enjoyable excursions are easily undertaken from Casa Caterina. Faenza, with its world-famous Ceramics Museum and production house, is about 30 km away, and the splendid medieval fortress at Brisighella-focus of an annual medieval festival-is half as far.
  • A drive of 50 km toward the Adriatic finds one in Ravenna, in the presence of the world’s finest Byzantine mosaics outside of Istanbul.
  • The distinguished city of Bologna, 75 km northwest of Tredozio, offers a delightful urban experience and, remarkably, the Tuscan capital of Florence is almost as close.
