Set along the southeastern coast of Sardinia, this area is a relaxed seaside enclave overlooking the Gulf of Cagliari, prized for its unspoiled beaches, crystalline waters, and laid-back Mediterranean rhythm. It offers a more authentic and residential Sardinian experience, far from mass tourism yet within easy reach of the island’s capital and some of its most beautiful stretches of coastline.
Here, days unfold between long swims in turquoise coves, coastal walks scented with juniper and Mediterranean scrub, and evenings spent under star-filled skies. The nearby beaches of Genn’e Mari and Cann’e Sisa are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding, thanks to their calm waters and sandy sea beds. The marine life is rich and easily explored just offshore, making the area particularly appealing to sea lovers.
Cagliari, the vibrant capital of Sardinia, is an easy drive away and rewards visitors with layers of history and culture. Explore the Castello district with its medieval walls and panoramic terraces, visit the National Archaeological Museum, stroll through the Marina quarter with its cafés and boutiques, or admire the Roman amphitheater carved into the rock. Nature lovers should not miss the Molentargius salt flats, home to pink flamingos, or the city’s botanical gardens.

The second biggest island in the Mediterranean (the first one is Sicily), Sardinia is a paradise for beach lovers! Whether you want to enjoy the life of the glitterati in the famous resorts of Costa Smeralda, or explore the more authentic southern coast, you will marvel at the beautiful beaches of the island, the combination of white sand and emerald water particularly appreciated by surfers. As beautiful as the coastline can be, some of the most memorable sights are found underwater so snorkeling and scuba diving are a must do! For golf lovers, three beautiful 18-hole golf courses are located on the island, the Pevero Golf Club on the north coast, Is Arenas Golf Club on the west coast, and Is Molas Golf Club on the south coast. Thanks to the proximity of the sea the golf courses enjoy unique water views and a mild climate, particularly favorable for golf all year round.
Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia and the island's largest city. In Cagliari, visit the Castle, the Archeological Museum, the Marina district near the port, with its arcaded street with cafes and shops, the town hall, and several churches. Do not miss Cagliari botanic gardens and the Roman amphitheater, built in the second century, where outdoor concerts are held during the summer.
In the southern area, we suggest a visit to Baia Chia beaches, with a forest of Juniper trees and sand dunes as a backdrop. You should also explore Capo Malfatano, Cala Cipolla, Tuarredda and the beautiful beach of Cala Zafferano. This area offers a wide range of activities including sightseeing of the ancient Phoenician, Punic, and Roman remains at Nora, including those of an ancient Roman outdoor theater where performances are still held in summer. Animal lovers should check the natural marine shelter and sea turtle rescue center at Nora Lagoon.

WHERE TO SHOP
Sardinia is a hub for handicrafts, making it a souvenir shopper’s paradise. Look for wooden carnival masks, handmade lace, filigree jewelry, cork, and world famous handmade knives. Do not forget to try the smoked ricotta, the Pecorino Cheese (sheep’s milk cheese), our favorite is Fiore Sardo, or notable wines and the head-splitting firewater, filu e ferru, the local semolina pasta called "fregole", a close relative to couscous. To make sure you are buying local, look for signs advertising “Prodotti Tipici Sardi”, or the island-sponsored I.S.O.L.A. co-op stores.

Other things to note
There is a bus stop in front of the house, but it is strongly recommended that you reach us with your own car so that you can easily move from the villa to the destinations listed above.
Keep in mind that the house is located along the Via Aurelia therefore, as with all the houses that are located on the seafront, from time to time you can hear the noise of cars or trains.
The location of the villa allows you to spend a holiday in direct contact with the sea without having to use the car every time you want to reach a beach. The car is necessary for shopping, going to restaurants, reaching other tourist locations.
A long staircase leads directly to the sea where a private terrace has been created.
Attention: The roof terrace is accessible but with caution because it has no railing. This terrace will be made available only if there are no children in the group.
Due to the presence of the various terraces and stairs (to access both the villa and the terraces and the private beach), the property may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties and families with small children.
Finally, the villa is located close to the road and the garden is not entirely fenced, therefore it is necessary to pay close attention to families with children.
