The area of Lake Como is abundant in picturesque towns with narrow cobbled streets, breathtaking views, and lovely homes and gardens, best visited from late spring to early fall. Take a stroll through the city of Como to enjoy its history and architecture, then hop on the ferry and head north to visit other towns on the lakeshore.
However, there is more to do in this area than traditional sightseeing. Visitors can book a flight over the lake by seaplane or take the funiculare (hillside trolley) to Brunate and enjoy spectacular views from above. Extreme sports enthusiasts can enjoy paragliding off of Mount Nuvolone. Small and large groups alike can book boat tours with our concierge to enjoy the lake from the water, having fun spotting properties owned by the rich and famous (Donatella Versace, Madonna, and George Clooney, among others).
For the more adventurous, Lake Como also offers water-skiing, wind surfing, and wake boarding. Bikers will surely enjoy the natural trails that lead to the mountains or even hidden pebbled beaches. Go for a round of golf or tennis at one of the many locations across the lake region. Lake Como has something for everyone! With fashion-capital Milan just 45 minutes away, it’s no wonder that Lake Como also offers excellent designer shopping.

Lombardia and The Lakes
Lombardia is located at the very north of Italy and borders with Switzerland and the Alps. Home to the industrial capital city of Milan which is perhaps the biggest centre in the world for fashion with names like Armani, Prada, and Gucci all residing in Milans ‘Golden Quad’. The local people of Milan take great pride in the way they dress and it can often seem they are all on a catwalk as they quickly march through the streets.
Milan is also the finance powerhouse of the country, and is not driven by tourism. The city itself is fast passed, and a great place to visit if you are a serious shopper.
The main attractions in Milan include Il Duomo di Milano, Leonardo Da Vincis last supper, La Scala opera house, and the Castello Sforzesco.

[post_content] => Casa Vitti – A Lakeside Retreat in the Heart of Tremezzina
Set directly on the shores of Lake Como, Casa Vitti is nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Portezza, a charming and historic part of Tremezzo that was once a traditional fishing village. A short stroll through its cobbled lanes leads you to the small Romanesque church of San Vincenzo, a quiet symbol of the area’s rich heritage.
Surrounded by a private lakeside garden, Casa Vitti offers direct access to the water, with a private dock for motorboats and seaplanes. Beneath the shade of mature trees, guests can dine al fresco or unwind with a view of the lake — a perfect setting for long, relaxing days outdoors.
Casa Vitti is ideally positioned for those who wish to explore Lake Como without a car. The house is reached by a charming 50-meter pedestrian path through the village of Portezza. From there, it’s just a short walk to local shops, restaurants, and the public ferry pier, offering direct connections to Bellagio and other renowned lakeside towns such as Varenna, Menaggio, and Cadenabbia.
A private parking space is available nearby for one small car (we recommend compact models), and additional public parking is also close at hand. A children’s playground is located just 100 meters from the property, and all essential services can be found within 600 meters.
The nearby village of Lenno, overlooking the tranquil Gulf of Venus, offers a wide range of cafés, eateries, and cultural landmarks, including Villa del Balbianello (2.7 km) and Villa Carlotta (2.6 km). Lenno is also a key point along the scenic Greenway, a gentle walking route that stretches for about three hours between Colonno and Cadenabbia, following the ancient path of the Strada Regina.
For nature and culture lovers, a panoramic trail from Lenno leads to the UNESCO-listed Sacro Monte di Ossuccio, one of nine sacred pre-Alpine mountains. The path winds through the Zoca de l’Oli (“oil basin”), an area famous for its olive groves, thanks to its mild microclimate and centuries-old oil production tradition
The house is spread over three floors, all connected by an internal elevator. The layout is as follows:
The ground floor includes a fully equipped kitchen (with refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher), a dining area with a table for eight, and a cozy living room furnished with four armchairs and a vintage-style sofa.
The first and second floors each feature two twin bedrooms (which can be arranged as doubles), along with two private bathrooms with showers per floor. Every bedroom offers views of the lake or garden and includes air conditioning, heating, and soundproofed interiors with wooden floors and exposed beam ceilings. Period furnishings and antique artworks lend each space a warm, elegant atmosphere.

[post_content] => Nestled in the charming lakeside village of Brienno, Villa Brenda is an exclusive property with private and direct access to Lake Como. Beautifully maintained, the villa seamlessly blends traditional architecture with modern comforts, offering a serene and unforgettable stay in one of the lake’s most authentic and peaceful settings.
With a total living area of 180 square meters, the villa is arranged over three floors, all connected by an elegant spiral staircase.
A Multi-Level Garden Designed for Privacy and Relaxation
Villa Brenda is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden laid out over four levels:
• Three levels are completely private and reserved for guests, offering areas for sunbathing, outdoor dining, reading, or simply enjoying the view from the jacuzzi while gazing out over the lake.
• The mid-level garden includes a pedestrian path occasionally used by the neighboring property owners. This discreet and infrequent passage does not interfere with your privacy or the peaceful atmosphere of the villa.
The villa also features a private lakefront terrace with jacuzzi, where guests can relax, take in the views, or cool off at the water’s edge. Please note: this terrace is not suitable for boat docking or arrivals.
Prime Location near Laglio, Como, and Ferry Connections
Villa Brenda is located in Brienno, a picturesque and lesser-known jewel on the western shore of Lake Como. Known for its stone alleyways, medieval charm, and peaceful ambiance, Brienno is perfect for guests seeking a more authentic lake experience.
The nearby village of Laglio (2km)—famous for its elegant villas and lakeside cafés—is just a 4-minute drive away. Please note that walking to Laglio is not recommended, as the road connecting the two villages is narrow and lacks a pedestrian sidewalk.
The villa offers 2 private parking directly on the property : one for a small/medium car and the other for bikes and moto. For guests with larger vehicles, alternative parking solutions may be needed. Outside, about 50 meters from the villa, there is a public parking area where you can park a car.
Please note that the stretch of road between this external parking and the villa has no sidewalk.
The city of Como is just 15 km away, providing easy access to trains, shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
For exploring the lake by boat, the nearest public jetty with ferry service to picturesque towns such as Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio, and Tremezzo is located in Argegno, approximately 3.5 km away and reachable in about 7 minutes by car
