With its rolling hills, a deeply colored patchwork of fields, and ancient stone towns, Umbria is a region where locals still live at a leisurely pace.
Our specially curated program means you will experience the best of its history, art, food, wine, and natural beauty. You will stay in the luxurious Villa Bellissima near Orvieto and explore the surrounding villages and towns.
We will take you to outstanding restaurants and private wine tastings at vineyards not usually available to tourists. You will enjoy some of the most impressive parts of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio.

Autumn in Umbria

A bespoke small group tour

Day 1
You will be collected from a central Rome location by 10am.
We will head to the delightful Villa Bellissima (your home away from home) via a stunning winery for lunch. The Vinyard is located on the outskirts of Ficulle.
After lunch and a glass of Vino, you will settle in, a wander to the local village if you feel up to it.
Dinner will be served at the villa

Day 2
Breakfast will be served by the staff in the kitchen and departure by 10 am
A really special day trip to Orvieto with lunch in magnificent ancient Grottos. You will visit an archaeological dig that is closed to the general public. Here your guide and the local head of archaeology will take you on a tour of 3,500 years of history, explaining the varied and storied history of Orvieto.

Day 3
We will head to the very interesting Tuscan town of Arezzo, where after a walking tour with a local guide, we will have lunch in the main town square, the highlight of the day will be a visit to the home of Giorgio Vasari, a master of renassance

Day 4
Tour of Perugia with a local guide, and lunch featuring the local delicacies of truffles, and chocolate which the town is famous for. On the way back we will visit Deruta, the town most famous for ceramics.

Day 5 HIGHLIGHT!
A very special day.
A day trip to ANTONORI in Chianti which is a world-famous vineyard/restaurant. Infact, recently declared the world’s number 1 vineyard.
A long lunch and a wine tasting.

Day 6
A visit to Bolsena to see the sacred location where the miracle of the Eucharist happened, along with visiting the ancient Christian Catacombs. Followed by a lunch over the water on Lake Bolsena. During the summer months, a cruise of the lake, and a swim can also be an option

Day 7
A wonderful day trip to Montepulciano for lunch at Bindella winery. After lunch, a stop in the town of Pienza a UNESCO-protected village. for a walk and shop.

Check out by 10am and transfer back to Rome
